Being a seasoned offer and positioning strategist, Lori can spot strong messaging in other people’ businesses all day long. In fact, she does, and has built an entire framework around helping her clients create better offers that sell their expertise.
Because of this, she came to me already knowing the friction she was experiencing with her website was due to her messaging. She booked “The Review” and got the alignment she was looking for and more.
"What clicked is that I do so much more than ‘offers’ - that I am building the entire foundation and architecture of a person's business. Also that I shouldn't lead with my framework but rather with what my buyers are receiving from me. How it benefits them. What it means to them.”
This is largely due to the fact we spend countless hours thinking about our craft, our brand, and how we’re going to show up to sell. So when it comes to making decisions about how to phrase something, it can get lost in translation or buried in heavy jargon.
This was the case with Lori.
She felt like it was difficult to explain what she did, that she was competing with generic business coaches and AI, and that her website wasn't quite capturing the depth of the work she actually did.
Lori has a strong business, serious street cred, and offers that have already proven they work for her clients.
But her messaging wasn't quite hitting the depth and quality of what she was serving.
She told me:
“In the back of my mind, I'd always thought it was a bit difficult to explain what I do.”
She also felt like she was competing with a sea of generic business coaches and AI-generated messaging.
"My copy is more buyer friendly now - has more personality but still showcases my expertise in a cohesive way. I love the way you pulled together the journey on the homepage with my different offers. I just feel so much better now that all my website copy is updated - I am proud to send people to my website now."
The Review included a strategic audit of Lori's existing website alongside key sections rewritten for her homepage and four core offer pages.
The audit looked at things like:
positioning
buyer psychology
messaging
offer clarity
page flow
voice and personality
benefits vs. features
conversion opportunities
SEO
the journey between Lori's different offers
“I just feel so much better now that all my website copy is updated - I am proud to send people to my website now.”
And the transformation didn't stop at the copy.
After the project, Lori updated the visual direction of her website too, telling me:
“I updated the look and vibe and it feels so much more like me now!”
Because when the messaging finally feels right, it becomes much easier to see what the brand needs to look and feel like, too.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your website or how you speak about your services in general, the problem likely has nothing to do with your expertise.
Sometimes, that “a-ha” moment we’re after is as simple as getting an outside perspective and seeking the help of someone who can connect the dots, and translate the importance of your work in language your buyers respond to.
This is what I created The Review for.
A strategic outside perspective on the website you've probably stared at for far too long.
